During the three-year apprenticeship to become a plastics and rubber technologist specializing in moulded parts, you will learn how to operate and monitor our various injection moulding machines as well as everything important about our main components – the plastics. What are they made of? How do you manufacture products from them? What do you have to pay attention to in industrial use? Because later it will be your job to think about which settings are the right ones to achieve the desired product result. Once you have set everything up, you can fill the machine and monitor the production process. If something goes wrong or a setting needs to be optimized, you are the one who carries out the improvements professionally and confidently.

During your two-year training as a machine and system operator, you will learn how to set up, convert and operate our machines and systems – often several at the same time. To do this, you will also prepare operating processes, check machine functions and commission machines. And to ensure that everything runs smoothly and the machine doesn’t break down after the first run, you also have to constantly monitor the (production) process – and which machines are these? We generally use injection molding machines, but they are often very different. Some have integrated robots, for example, while others work together with other machines such as an automatic ironing machine.
